Off-island emergency transport can be costly. The average cost for a retail air ambulance is $20,000 USD and in more complex situations, the price can soar to $200,000 USD or more.1 Unfortunately, most regular health insurance plans don’t cover these costs, especially for transportation home. MASA Assist eliminates that risk, offering comprehensive financial protection from out-of-pocket costs for emergency medical transportation, which can otherwise be financially devastating.
