Financial Security and Life-Saving Benefits
Emergency Air Transportation
MASA Assist will arrange to fly a Member to the nearest appropriate medical facility capable of providing needed treatment when the Member needs specialized emergency treatment not available locally.
Ground Ambulance Transportation
MASA Assist will arrange ground ambulance transfers between hospitals and airports during a Member’s emergency air transport.
Commercial Air Transportation
MASA Assist will arrange a Member’s air transportation to receive necessary non-elective inpatient care.
Facility Transfer
MASA Assist will arrange to fly a hospitalized Member home to recuperate in familiar surroundings.
Patient Return Transportation
MASA Assist will arrange to fly a Member home after they have been hospitalized for inpatient care away from home.
Visitor Transportation
MASA Assist will arrange the air transportation for a person of the Member’s choosing to visit if the Member is hospitalized away from home for an extended period.
Air Ambulance Companion Transportation
MASA Assist will arrange for a companion to accompany the Member during an emergency air transport.
Minor Children / Grandchildren Return
MASA Assist will arrange the air transportation of a Member’s child or grandchild if they are left unattended due to the Member’s emergency air transport.
Vehicle Return
MASA Assist will arrange the return of a Member's vehicle to their residence or car rental location if it is left unattended due to the Member's emergency air transport.
Organ Retrieval Transportation
MASA Assist will provide an organ's air transportation to the Member's location for use during their organ transplant.
Organ Recipient Transportation
MASA Assist will arrange a Member’s air transportation to the medical facility performing their organ transplant.
Companion Expense Reimbursement
MASA Assist will reimburse travel expenses for a visitor or companion that was provided to the Member by MASA.
Mortal Remains Transport
MASA Assist will arrange the air transportation of a Member's mortal remains if they die away from home.
Non-Emergent Ground Transportation
MASA Assist will reimburse a member for their travel to rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing centers and hospice settings. ($250 USD cap)
Companion Return Transportation
MASA Assist will arrange to fly a member’s spouse home should a member need emergency air transport.
Pet Return Transportation
MASA Assist will make sure that your pet(s) return home as a result of an occurrence of a member’s serious emergency.

Worldwide Travel Coverage
A Member can extend benefits worldwide by providing MASA Assist with written notice of travel plans.
Paramedic Assisted Commercial Transportation
If a member is in a medical facility away from home, MASA Assist will arrange for a paramedic to accompany the member during a commercial flight to a medical facility on the island of the member’s residence with treating physician approval.
